Welcome to the WIRED Book Club. This month, we’ve been reading Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber by Mike Isaac. The book tells the story of Uber, tracking the company’s rise into a global ride-sharing juggernaut and the many controversies it has become embroiled in along the way. Based on hundreds of interviews with people involved, the story is an insight into Uber as both an individual company and a symbol of Silicon Valley’s broader culture.

Here with we discuss what we thought of the book, Uber’s biggest troubles and where the company goes next.
